After the Rain.

After a lovely welcome rainy evening I got up to a Jungle. I think the garden has grown a foot over night.

The morning is sunny, not a cloud to be seen……

Image

……my shoes and my trouser bottoms are wet…..

Image

……and the rain is still dripping from the trees.

Image

….but everything looks healthy and fresh….

Image

…the blackbirds are frantically feeding their young….

Image

….and all is blooming in the garden….

Image

….even the sweet peas have put on a spurt of growth….

Image

….the blueberries absolutely love this weather…..

Image

…and the alliums simply glow….

Image

…the shady garden has had it’s welcome rain and starting to reap the goodness…..

Image

…and last of all today Wada’s Primrose Clematis showing all signs of having a good year….

  3. Your garden is lovely. This year we are so glad when the garden gets refreshed by a shower because everything is so dry. Rosa banksiae lutea is a little gem and I love that Iris. The Clematis is gorgeous too, I’m going to look out for this one.

  6. Wasn’t it lovely Sue? We didn’t have much more than a sprinkling here then or since, but it all helped, and it’s raining properly now (Thurs am) – hurrah! You have shown some gorgeous views of your garden as well as your individual beauties and I am wondering if that offer some time ago of an informal visit is still open…?
